Karon Chester was born in Guyana, South America as were both her parents. Her family emigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1985. Karon completed post secondary studies at the University of Manitoba. She is a Diversity and Intercultural Trainer and Consultant; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Instructor
Karon is a Winnipeg Public Library Board Member and a Black History Manitoba Volunteer. Karon has lived in many places both national and internationally.
