Beverley Anne Mary Paris Sauve was born January 30, 1958 in Truro, Nova Scotia. Her mother, Evelyn Veronica Jackson Paris Cackette was born in Middletown, Nova Scotia and her father, Joseph Lawrence Paris was born in Mulgrave, Nova Scotia. Beverley grew up between the CFB Cornwallis in the Annapolis Valley and Wallis Heights in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Bev is the second youngest of five siblings and has lived in Prince Edward Island for over 30 years. Bev wishes she had grown up around more Black people so she could have a better understanding of the struggles of Black people.
